We have a simple yet highly effective way of delivering that. The term we used in our planning was “DRAW A LINE IN THE SAND.” We decided that from the day we started using the system no more hard copy files would be generated, that is step 1. Step 2 was to figure out what to do with all the old hard files we had, it turned out to be very simple, every old hard copy file you touch each day would be scanned and destroyed after you used it, in no time all newly generated files and the old hard copy files we had been using were scanned and could be accessed by everyone.

1. Start scanning all the new files
2. Scan the old files as they become needed in your business
3. Destroy what is left after a period of time
